The Namasuba area camp ran for a full week, and by the time Sabbath came around on 29 August, five congregations had a team still standing.
Namasuba, Ndejje, Ndikutamadda, Kisangan and Lugga SDA churches all sent teams to the Bible quiz finals. Ndejje won it.
Bible Empire sponsored the prize, a pulpit size Luganda Bible.
The size was the point. A personal Bible goes home with whoever wins it and stays on one shelf. A pulpit Bible stays at the front of the church, open, read from every Sabbath. So the prize does not sit with the five people who answered the questions. It sits with everyone at Ndejje who walks in on a Saturday morning. And it is in Luganda, because that is the language the reading actually happens in.
We were glad to be asked. A week of study deserves something that lasts longer than a certificate.
Congratulations to Ndejje, and to the four churches who spent the week in the Word with them.
Bible Empire stocks pulpit Bibles in Luganda and English. If your church is planning a camp, quiz or convention, talk to us about prizes.
